Here's the Gaptastic Cowl I finished in late January (Yes, that is the Central Park Hoodie I knit up a couple years ago):
I've been busy working up a couple non-Christmas projects, so it's a good thing I got two projects done in January. However, I was naughty and didn't take photos before triumphantly presenting the gifts to the recipients. One was a baby blanket knit in the purple and green colorway of Mirage, a DK weight 50/50 wool and acrylic blend:
The second was a pair of the Onda su onda fingerless mitts, a free Ravelry download.

I used a beautiful teal blue I had left over from the Pinwheel sweater I knit last summer (the second blue in from the edge):
The pattern is simple and well-written, and took about half of the original 219 yard skein. I will make another pair for a Christmas Challenge gift, probably from another left-over skein from the Pinwheel Sweater. I plan on reducing the number of thumb stitches next time, though, because mine turned out a little looser than I would have liked.
The other night, I finished a pair of slippers I had started last November, and am finishing up a scarf I started a year and a half ago. These are my March and April Challenge gifts. No, this is not cheating! Finishing these projects will make it possible for me to start some new ones I've been drooling over for a while now. :)
