Why we knit socks!

We are so enjoying all the sock  knitting that is going on these days.  Someone asked why would you knit socks when you can just go buy them.?

Because for me, store bought socks don't fit and stretch too much in my shoes, so I can kinit them myself and custom fit my socks.

Plus when I learned the magic loop and the two circular needle methods, wow, it totally changed my sock making process.

And the process is so much fun!

The sock yarns out there now are amazing. They self stripe, or change colors and self pattern.as you knit them.,and they make great gifts.

They are a  wonderful take along project too. If you are somewhere and have to wait for awhile, a samll project like a sock are ideal.

So if you are as excited as we are about socks making, take one of our classes and get started right away.

Magic Loop Class!

Knitting in the round an easy way! theyarnshoppe@gmail.com The Yarn Shoppe   Magic Loop Class! Have you always wondered what knitting with Magic Loop is and how it is done? Well now is your chance! Introducing our Magic Loop class. You will learn how to cast on two different ways using one long needle, plus start knitting in the round. You will need one long needle and yarn the appropriate size to go with the needles. I prefer 40” or longer. (The shop has the supplies you need, plus you get 10% off if purchased here!)  The class is about 1 to 1 1/2 hours long. Cost is $15.00. Please pay your instructor by check or cash.    The class times are: Fri August 3rd 3 pm – 4:30 pm Sat. Aug 4th – 10 am – 11:30 am, or 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm or 3:00 pm- 4:30 pm Tues Aug 7th – 12:30 pm -2:00 pm , or 3:00 pm– 4:30 pm.
